How can I purchase “Bush Bucks ”
There are a number of ways you can purchase your “Bush Bucks”.
Purchase Online:
You can buy “Bush Bucks” through the Temora Shire Council by clicking here. All "Bush Bucks" purchased online are open i.e. they can be spent at any participating business.
In Person:
1. Visit any of our participating businesses to purchase your “Bush Bucks”. Your “Bush Bucks” voucher is marked with the name of that business and can only be spent on products and services from that business.
2. Call in to the Temora Shire Council and purchase your “Bush Bucks”. You can choose to list a specific business or you can leave the voucher open. An open “Bush Bucks” voucher can be used at any of our participating businesses.
Over the Phone:
1. Phone any of our participating businesses directly to purchase your “Bush Bucks”. Your “Bush Bucks” voucher is marked with the name of that business and can only be spent on products and services from that business. Once payment has been confirmed, the voucher will be mailed out to your nominated address. You should discuss payment options with the store in question.
2. Phone the Temora Shire Council to purchase your “Bush Bucks”. You can choose to list a specific business or you can leave the voucher open. An open “Bush Bucks” voucher can be used at any of our participating businesses. Once payment has been confirmed, the voucher will be mailed out. The Temora Shire Council can accept payment by cheque, credit card or direct credit.
Please note that individual businesses may have differing payment methods available. For example, some businesses are not able to accept all credit cards, and not all businesses accept personal cheques.
Donations
If you would like to use “Bush Bucks” as a donation to needy people in the Temora community, please call or visit the Temora Shire Council to purchase your vouchers.
You can have them marked with the name of the charity or organisation you wish to nominate or leave the business name open and ask Council to nominate the charitable organisation to receive the donation for distribution. It will be then distributed, in rotation, between St Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army and Temora Community Centre.
How do I use “Bush Bucks”
If you have purchased or received “Bush Bucks” simply present your voucher at the nominated or participating store at the time of purchase and the “Bush Bucks” voucher simply operates as a type of gift certificate.
You should keep your receipt as proof of purchase, and be aware that returns policies may differ from store to store.
Please note that vouchers cannot be cashed. This is because the spirit of the “Bush Bucks” program is to ensure that the money is spent in Temora.
